Made from PLA, a plant-based plastic, these cups are renewable and compostable. They're made from crops that grow back every year, and they can be composted commercially (where facilities exist) and returned to the soil to help new plants grow. Compatible flat- and dome-lid options (sold separately) allow you to use the same cup type for both cold and frozen drinks. They're BPI certified compostable and ASTM compliant.
